Is Ekaris Tulsi Honey Actually Pure? My Experience with My Son’s Cough

I usually dont write reviews or blogs, but something happened last week that I really wanted to share. As a parent, you know how it is when your kid is sick. You just want them to feel better.

I’ve been seeing ads for Ekaris lately and decided to order their Tulsi Jar Honey. I’ve been trying to switch our family to more natural stuff, avoiding the plastic bottles of "honey" from the supermarket that mostly taste like sugar syrup.

First Impressions: The "Purity" Test

When the package arrived, the first thing I noticed was the packaging. It came in a nice glass jar, which already felt more premium. But the real test is the taste.

I took a spoonfull straight away. It didn't have that super sugary shock you get from commercial brands. It felt smooth and had a distinct herbal note—definately the Tulsi coming through. It crystallized a little bit at the bottom after a few days, which I read is actually a sign of pure raw honey, so that gave me some confidence that this wasn't just fake syrup.

How it Helped with Chest Congestion

The real reason I’m writing this is because of my 6-year-old. The weather changed recently and he developed a nasty chest congestion. He was coughing all night and couldn't sleep.

I remembered my grandmother always suggesting honey and tulsi for coughs. Since this honey already had the Tulsi infusion, I decided to try it.

I mixed a tablespoon of the Ekaris Tulsi Honey in warm water (not boiling, just warm) and gave it to him before bed. I also gave him a half spoon just to lick slowly.

Honestly, I was surprised. That night was the first time in three days he slept without waking up coughing every hour. The honey seemed to sooth his throat, and the Tulsi warmth probably helped with the phlegm. We did this for about 3 days, and his chest sounded much clearer.

My Final Verdict

I’m not a doctor or anything, just a dad trying to find good stuff for his family. But if you are looking for organic honey for immunity or just something that tastes real, I’d recommend giving Ekaris a try.

Pros:

  • Tastes like actual nature, not factory sugar.

  • Helped soothe my kid’s throat and congestion.

  • Glass jar is nice (better for environment).

Cons:

  • A bit pricier than the cheap store stuff, but worth it.

If you buy it, let me know if you taste the herbs too!
